ABOUT US
A-D-Atelier, established in 2016, is an Australian-based art and design studio that blends thoughtfully curated photography with innovative latex fashion design. Our studio serves as a creative sanctuary where we conceptualize latex art in a tasteful and respectful manner, making it accessible to a wider audience. Our mission is to normalize latex fetish positivity and foster inclusivity within our community.
In 2022, we proudly launched our own latex fashion label, furthering our ambition to offer a luxurious range of latex designs that cater to both the fetish and fashion communities. By harnessing the stimulating qualities of latex and it's influential subculture our design frame has no bounds, through this we hope to inspire individuality and confidence in our wearers.
Every piece in our collection is meticulously designed and made to order in our studio in Camperdown NSW, Australia, reflecting our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and originality.
HISTORY
2008 - When our founder Allan Duncan enrolled into university to commence a Fine Art degree at the University of Newcastle. already having an interest in fetish art and theory, Allan’s university efforts were primarily devoted to fetish/fashion photography and art theory. Between 2012-2013 Allan spent twelve months studying at the famed Bauhaus University in Weimar Germany where he further cemented his academic credentials.
Upon graduating university in 2014 with distinction honours, Allan spent the subsequent years developing the concept that became A-D-Atelier.
2017 - A chance contact with a fellow alumni of Newcastle and the Bauhaus, Lily Ward saw A-D-Atelier go from an art project into a business devoted to empowering women which has remained the core principle of A-D-Atelier to this day with Lily coming on board as an equal business partner.
2020 - The opening of our first professional studio in Newcastle NSW, and our first feature in one of Europes leading fetish mags ~ Marquis Magazine.
2021 - After stumbling across Allan’s latex art on instagram, Jasmine Croak joined our team. Initially just curious about latex and alternative modelling, coincidentally and not long after recieving her Diploma in Fashion Design this young, ambitious and amazing talent expressed her keen interest and visions for designing a latex fashion range and soon became a partner in A-D-Atelier as lead fashion designer.
Lily Ward who had devoted so much time, effort and energy into A-D-Atelier stepped back to devote her time to her young family.
2022 - A-D-Atelier had successfully started it’s very own fashion label and with Jasmine on board as a partner has seen A-D-Atelier go from strength to strength with the release of Capsule I and in 2023 Capsule II resulted in an influx of press interests, loans and collaborations - further features in Marquis Magazine and two runway shows at Oz Kinkfest Sydney and Melbourne.
