LATEX & RUBBER CARE
LATEX
PRE WEAR
All new latex items will arrive dusted in talcum powder to protect them from damage. This will wash off with water.
When dressing in latex it is best to use silicone lubricant or talcum/baby powder as an outgoing alternative. We have our own dressing aid available for purchase here.
Dress gently without scratching or pulling with your nails as this could result in tears and damage.
POST WEAR
After wear, latex should be hand washed gently in warm soapy water. Most dishwashing liquids are suitable.
Lay the garment on a towel to dry and wipe off any water inside and out and allow to dry completely.
STORAGE
Store latex in a dark wardrobe, preferably in garment bags.
Never store different colours of latex next to each other or with metals as this may cause stains, especially in lighter colours.
If staining does occur and depending on how badly an item is stained, they do tend to fade away after a few washes.
RUBBER
CLEANING RUBBER
Wet a cloth with warm soapy water and begin rubbing, working the cloth over the rubber. Rinse off with warm water, then dry off with a towel.
Don’t leave/submerge the rubber in water as this can damage the metal hardware.
